Pope Leo XIV, who recently underwent lung cancer surgery, has confirmed his attendance at the World Youth Day to be held in Seoul in August next year.

In a video invitation addressed to young people around the world, the Pope stated, "I look forward to meeting you in Seoul."

The video was filmed before his surgery and was released today (October 22) based on the assessment that the Pope's health condition will not affect his visit to Korea next year.
