Yonsei University's portal service has been hacked, resulting in the leakage of over 15,000 cases of personal information belonging to enrolled students, alumni, and faculty members.

Yonsei University stated, "Student ID numbers, mobile phone numbers, and email addresses were leaked," adding, "Sensitive information such as resident registration numbers was not included."

Police stated that after verifying the facts, including the circumstances of the leak and the scale of the damage, they will decide whether to transition the case into a formal investigation.
