A whistleblower who had just finished chemotherapy for blood cancer and was awaiting test results felt a foreign object in their mouth while drinking watermelon juice at a café. Thinking it might just be watermelon seeds, they spat it out because it felt extremely strange, only to find sharp plastic pieces. The café explained that the frozen watermelon packaging material appeared to have been blended together in the mixer. The issue, however, was the response from both the café and the franchise headquarters. What on earth did they do that prompted the whistleblower to come forward saying they felt "profound humiliation"?
