An American man previously sentenced to prison for robbing five banks while disguised as an elderly person has been arrested again, 10 years later, on charges of robbing banks using the exact same method.
On October 20, David Sotin Jr. (40), a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, was arrested as the suspect in two bank robberies that occurred in Florida this year.
In 2018, Sotin was convicted and sentenced to over a decade in prison for robbing five banks in Texas in 2016 while wearing an elderly person mask.
At the time of the latest crime, Sotin was reportedly serving a period of probation related to the sentence he received for his past robbery convictions.
Authorities believe that Sotin wore an elderly mask in his past crimes as well, and used the same vehicle in both the previous and recent offenses.
