President Lee Jae-myung visited an autumn sports day at an elementary school in Iksan, North Jeolla Province, joining the students and taking part in games.

Dressed in a navy suit without a tie, President Lee attended the "Sports Festival" event at Wanggung Elementary School in Iksan.

Greeting students, faculty, and parents, President Lee said, "When I mentioned that I wanted to visit an elementary school sports day, I was told nowhere was holding one," adding, "After searching and searching, I came all the way here."

Taking off his suit jacket and changing into a white windbreaker, President Lee mingled among the students to participate directly in the competitions.


First, President Lee shouted, "Do your best, fighting!" to the students, joined a game of rolling an exercise ball across a long cloth sheet, and exchanged high-fives with the children.

While rolling the ball, President Lee was lightly struck in the face by it, holding his forehead and sharing a laugh.

President Lee also joined a game of tossing ball pit balls into a basket, picking up balls from the ground alongside the students and throwing them himself.

During other competitions, he cheered on the students, chanting, "Win!"

During the relay race, the highlight of the sports day, President Lee put his arms around students' shoulders, shouting "Run!" to cheer on the runners, and personally held the tape at the finish line to welcome the final anchor runners.

Throughout the event, President Lee accommodated selfie and autograph requests from students and parents, and even handed his mobile phone to students who ran up asking him to follow them on Instagram.

After all events concluded, President Lee and the students performed cool-down stretches on the schoolyard, and the gathering concluded with all attendees shouting in unison, "Wanggung, fighting!"
