The Netflix series "Slowly and Intensely," which has drawn high anticipation for bringing together writer Noh Hee-kyung and actors Song Hyekyo and Gong Yoo, is set to meet global viewers on December 11.

On October 22, Netflix announced that its original series "Slowly and Intensely" (written by Noh Hee-kyung, directed by Lee Yoon-jung) is confirmed for release on Friday, December 11, and unveiled a release date announcement poster.

"Slowly and Intensely" depicts the growth stories of individuals who, despite having nothing, threw themselves entirely into pursuing a brilliant success against the backdrop of the South Korean entertainment industry in the 1960s and 1980s, an era rampant with barbarism and violence. It is the first new project in about four years by writer Noh Hee-kyung, who penned "More Beautiful Than a Flower," "Worlds Within," "That Winter, the Wind Blows," "It's Okay, That's Love," and "Our Blues."

Song Hyekyo takes on the role of "Min-ja," who overcomes a poor childhood and dives into the music industry, while Gong Yoo stars alongside her as "Dong-gu," a childhood friend who stays by Min-ja's side and runs together with her for their dreams. They are joined by Kim Seolhyun as "Min-hee," who advances toward success with a bold charm, and Cha Seung-won as "Seok Gil-yeo," the top composer of the era who turns rookie singers into stars, heralding powerful acting synergy.

The released poster captures the diverse lives of the characters like a panorama, centered around a turntable. The strong presence of a stellar cast immediately catches the eye: from Min-ja and Dong-gu, who go through various jobs including working as a waiter after a poor childhood and grow into rookie managers, to Min-hee singing with sparkling eyes, Seok Gil-yeo playing the saxophone, "Yang-ja" played by Lee Ha-nee singing with a desperate yet exuberant expression, and "Mal-soon" played by Na Moon-hee, who embodies the joys and sorrows of passing years.

The Netflix series "Slowly and Intensely," which will portray the brilliant and passionate growth of the top entertainers of that era, will be released worldwide via Netflix on December 11.
