Kim Si-woo, who became the first South Korean player to surpass 10 million dollars in a single-season prize money on the U.S. PGA Tour this year, is set to meet domestic fans at a home tournament for the first time in a year.

Kim, who has four career PGA Tour wins, did not secure a victory this season, but he earned 10.27 million dollars, equivalent to 13.6 billion won, with three runner-up finishes.

He will compete in the Genesis Championship, which is co-sanctioned by the domestic KPGA Tour and the European Tour, opening today, October 22.

The tournament, which will also feature New Zealand's Ryan Fox, the winner of this year's major tournament The Open, and Im Sung-jae, boasts the largest prize purse in the country with a total prize pool of 5.3 billion won and a winner's prize of 900 million won.
