Gyeonggi Governor Choo Mi-ae, who made the remark about "straws in firefighting finances," and Representative Boo Seung-chan, who caused controversy while defending her.

On October 21, the Democratic Party leadership decided to issue a "warning" against both of them.

Initially, only Representative Boo was targeted, but as controversy over fairness arose within the party, it was decided to issue a warning to Governor Choo as well.

The Democratic Party stated that the measure was meant to urge grave self-reflection and prevent recurrence.

The People Power Party criticized the decision, saying, "By giving a free pass with a simple warning that lacks effectiveness, it only eased the political burden on the parties involved."

At the National Assembly's House Steering Committee on October 21, the Democratic Party took issue with People Power Party Representative Kim Tae-gyu's remarks denying the insurrection by Chun Doo-hwan and demanded Kim's resignation from the committee.

The People Power Party fired back, telling the Democratic Party to rein in Representative Boo Seung-chan, who is also a member of the steering committee.

With the parliamentary audit of the Presidential Secretariat scheduled for October 29, the People Power Party called for summoning President Lee Jae-myung and the First Lady as witnesses regarding controversies, including delays in relocating to the official residence, but the Democratic Party rejected the demand as unreasonable.

[Han Byung-do / National Assembly House Steering Committee Chairman (Democratic Party Representative): "You must not make such absurd claims like this."]

While the People Power Party insisted on summoning Kim Hyun-ji, Chief of the First Personal Secretariat Office, and others as witnesses, only new Chief of Staff Lim Gwang-hyun and others were adopted as audit witnesses due to opposition from the Democratic Party.
