New large-scale musicals opening all at once? Waiting for audience reviews.

Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph was told by his wife, "It will never succeed." That remark became the title of his autobiography, which has now been adapted into the large-scale original musical <Flix!>. Aiming to be an exciting show musical, the role of Marc Randolph is played by actor Cho Hyung-kyun.

A man in the presidential republic of the United States who declared, "I am the emperor," and insisted on building the Golden Gate Bridge. The comedy <Majesty>, inspired by a real historical figure, is the first large-scale musical produced by Kim Su-ro. Also starring in the show as an actor, he expressed his desire to create a production that surpasses <Something Rotten!>.

<Flix!> and <Majesty> were selected for the Large-Scale Musical Showcase Support Project by the Korea Arts Management Service under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. We sit down with actors Kim Su-ro and Cho Hyung-kyun to discuss the stories behind the two upcoming works, the vibrant atmosphere of the rehearsal room, the significance of large-scale musical showcase performances, and thoughts on the future of Korean musicals, which are gaining even more attention following the Tony Awards success of <Maybe Happy Ending>.
