Singer-songwriter EJae, who gained global attention for the OST "Golden" from the animated film K-Pop: Demon Hunters, held a surprise wedding over the weekend.

The couple tied the knot on the former residential grounds of her maternal grandfather, veteran actor Shin Young-kyun.

EJae held an outdoor wedding last Saturday with producer and composer Sam Kim.

The two began working on music together in 2017, developed into a romantic relationship, and got engaged in June of last year.

The wedding took place at "Stage 28" in Godeok-dong, Seoul, which is the former home site of EJae's maternal grandfather, veteran actor Shin Young-kyun. The venue holds childhood memories for EJae and has a special family connection.

Initially, the couple had planned to hold their ceremony in California, USA, next month, but reportedly changed the location to Seoul and brought the schedule forward by about a month.

Through a media outlet, EJae shared her thoughts, saying that while the wedding preparation process was hectic and stressful, everything ultimately fell into place perfectly.
