Kang Shin-il revealed why he decided to appear on the show.

On the October 20 broadcast of SBS's "You're my destiny" (hereinafter referred to as "You're my destiny"), Kang Shin-il, often called "an actor of actors", joined the program with his wife as a new "destiny couple."

During the episode, Seo Jang-hoon expressed a sense of closeness upon Kang Shin-il's entrance, saying, "His voice and class are on another level," noting how Kang is a fixture in detective projects who frequently appears as a mentor or senior detective across various works.

Kang Shin-il responded candidly, "This is my first time on a variety show. I'm not good with words, so at first, I said I couldn't do it."

He continued, "However, my wife said people around her scolded her a lot, saying, 'Why wouldn't you coax your husband and go on such a great show together?'" adding, "I came on the show thanks to my wife."

However, his daughter drew attention as she was revealed to have worried about the couple appearing on a variety show. Kang Shin-il shared, "My daughter asked, 'Since when were Mom and Dad close?' When I heard that, I thought, 'What does that mean? My wife and I have been close and getting along well from the very beginning,'" sharing the real-life contrast in perspectives between father and daughter and sparking curiosity about what the truth really is.
