The identity of 26-year-old Kim Sung-woo, who is suspected of murdering his mother-in-law and kidnapping his wife before fleeing in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 11th, has been made public.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency held a identity disclosure deliberation committee this afternoon (the 19th) and released Kim Sung-woo's name, age, and mugshot.

The committee determined that disclosure was necessary to prevent recidivism, citing the severity of the damage and the brutality of the crime.
