Netflix series "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call" has officially confirmed the simultaneous production of Season 2 and Season 3.

On October 19, Netflix announced, "Seasons 2 and 3 of 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' promise upgraded chemistry among the cast and an expanded scale," adding, "Baek Kang-hyuk, who previously resuscitated the severe trauma team through life-risking efforts, will once again perform a 'major operation' to turn the impossible into the possible".

Season 2 of "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call" will depict the story of Baek Kang-hyuk and the severe trauma team racing against time to clear the clogged arteries of the system and secure the life-or-death golden hour amid even larger disasters and unpredictable crises.

Fans' expectations are mounting for the struggles of the severe trauma team, who overcame boundaries together in Season 1 but now stand before a brand-new path. Director Lee Do-yoon will pen the script for Season 2, while Director Lee Do-yoon and rookie writer Tomasi will collaborate on Season 3 to bring fresh energy.

The lead cast from the previous season will shine once again in Seasons 2 and 3, joined by fresh faces. Ju Ji-hoon, the anchor of the severe trauma team, will continue his much-anticipated, cathartic run as Baek Kang-hyuk. Attention is centered on how Baek Kang-hyuk, tasked with a new mission in Season 2, will navigate through the crisis.

"Official No. 1" Choo Young Woo will portray in detail the growth of Yang Jae-won, who has emerged as Baek Kang-hyuk's successor. Yoon Kyung-ho, who brought laughter in every crisis by channeling his "Baek Kang-hyuk alter ego," will infuse humor into the series as Han Yoo-rim, newly promoted to chief of the planning and coordination office at Hankook University Hospital.

Jung Jae-kwang, who drew attention for his impactful acting, is set to solidify the team's chemistry through his role as Park Kyung-won. The vacancy left by Hayoung—who starred as nurse Cheon Jang-mi in Season 1 before departing due to a controversy over her pro-Japanese ancestor—will be filled by new face JEONG YEIN. JEONG YEIN, a member of the girl group LOVELYZ, landed the role through a fierce audition process.

The new season of "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call" will begin filming soon.
