A 60-something diver, identified by the surname A, went missing at around 12:32 p.m. today (October 17) in waters about 1.5 kilometers east of Dosan Port in Yangyang, Gangwon Province.

According to the Gangneung Coast Guard, A failed to surface while engaging in underwater leisure activities with six other divers.

The Gangneung Coast Guard has deployed rescue assets, including three vessels—a patrol ship, a coastal rescue boat from a substation, and a rescue team boat—along with one helicopter and the marine disaster rescue team, to search for A.
