Autumn colors are deepening across the country.

This morning, October 17, started out brisk, but conditions are expected to turn mild by midday.

Temperatures will climb to 25°C in Seoul and 27°C in Gwangju, running about 2 to 5 degrees Celsius above average.

Amid the large diurnal temperature range, foliage is currently heading toward its peak on Mount Seorak and Mount Odae, while reports of the first autumn leaves are also coming in from other famous mountainous areas.

It will be a great day to enjoy an early autumn foliage trip.

Skies nationwide will remain clear throughout the day before clouds begin to increase starting this afternoon.

Winds will also gradually grow stronger across the country from the afternoon.

Looking at daytime highs in detail, Gangneung will reach 22°C, Jeonju 27°C, and Changwon 25°C.

Tomorrow, turbulent autumn rain is expected nationwide.
