Today, Saturday (October 17), features clear skies, making it a great day to enjoy autumn foliage outings.

Following Odaesan Mountain, autumn foliage has also reached its peak at Seoraksan Mountain.

However, clouds will increase starting tonight, and rain is forecasted nationwide tomorrow, so you may want to plan your weekend schedule accordingly.

Expected rainfall amounts for tomorrow are quite heavy for autumn rain: 30 to up to 80 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, and Jeonbuk; 20 to up to 70 mm in inland Gangwon; 20 to 60 mm in the Jeonnam region; and up to 50 mm in other parts of Gyeongsang.

The rain will also pour heavily at a rate of 20 to 30 mm per hour, requiring caution.

Currently, thick fog with visibility of less than 200 meters is blanketing parts of the central regions and Gyeongbuk.

As drizzle is falling in some areas due to the thick fog,

extra caution should be exercised for traffic safety.

Current temperatures start similar to yesterday morning, with Seoul at 14.5°C (58°F) and Busan at 18.1°C (65°F).

Daytime temperatures will rise up to 27°C (81°F) in Gwangju and Jeonju, bringing mild weather with wide diurnal temperature ranges of around 15°C.

The southern regions are also expecting rain next Tuesday.

Next Thursday, morning temperatures in Seoul are forecasted to drop sharply down to 4°C (39°F).
