Choi Hye-jin has maintained her lead for the second consecutive day at the LPGA Tour's Buick LPGA Shanghai.

During the second round of the tournament held at Qizhong Garden Golf Club in Shanghai, China, Choi struggled, managing only two birdies while committing four bogeys to finish two strokes over par.

On a course featuring heavily undulated greens and lengthy par-4 holes, Choi posted a cumulative total of 6-under 138, retaining her position atop the leaderboard following the first round.

Seeking her first LPGA Tour victory, Choi displayed decent shot-making, missing the fairway only once and hitting greens on all but three holes.

However, her putting faltered—unlike the previous day when long-range putts dropped smoothly—causing her total putts to surge to 38.

Having dropped a shot on the front nine, Choi recorded another bogey on the par-4 11th hole, but managed to avoid any further slips for the remainder of the round.

Veteran Amy Yang, a six-time LPGA Tour winner, shaved a stroke off her score with four birdies and three bogeys, moving to a cumulative 4-under 140 to tie for second place with Grace Kim of Australia, trailing leader Choi by two strokes.

World No. 2 and defending champion Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand tied for seventh place at a cumulative 2-under 142.
