Pianist Son Min-soo has released Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier as his first album since signing with the British classical label Hyperion.

Composed of preludes and fugues in all 24 keys, paving the way for the use of every key, this masterpiece is often called the "Old Testament" of piano music.

[Son Min-soo / Pianist: "I felt that almost all the complex questions, emotions, and feelings we can experience in life could be captured through this journey of 24 keys."]

Handing this piece to his pupil Lim Yoon-chan during his first lesson and teaching him that Bach is the "foundation of music," Son drew deep inspiration from the Well-Tempered score of his late teacher Russell Sherman, who passed away three years ago, dedicating this album to him.

The album-release recital tour will continue both domestically and internationally, including at the Seoul Arts Center and Carnegie Hall in New York, through the end of November.

The prestigious British chamber orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra, is visiting South Korea to meet local audiences for the first time in 15 years.

Along with pieces by Britten and Mozart, they are set to perform Vivaldi's The Four Seasons in a collaborative performance featuring violinist Han Soo-jin.

Han recently released her second album, which features Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and Piazzolla's The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires recorded alongside the English Chamber Orchestra.

Set on a stage designed to resemble a cozy British neighborhood pub, nine actors portraying the pub's owner and regular patrons play instruments themselves and perform familiar hit songs such as Queen's Somebody to Love and Adele's Hello.

Beginning with a pre-show held before the main performance, the jukebox musical The Choir of Man naturally draws the audience into the performance, making them feel as though they have become guests at the pub.

[Lee Choong-joo / Actor: "You can come to the pub with a comfortable mind and return home greatly comforted by these 19 actors. There is no single protagonist. Everyone sings and moves together in harmony."]

Instead of a complex narrative, the production offers a unique viewing experience driven by the sincere stories of the characters, musical harmony, and communication with the audience.
