Police are investigating a case in Gyeonggi Province where a man in his 70s allegedly killed his ailing wife before being found dead himself.

According to police and fire authorities, a family member reported at around 1:40 a.m. yesterday (October 15) at an apartment in Deokyang-gu, Goyang, stating, "My mother is dead and my father is missing."

While searching the area around the apartment, dispatched police officers found the husband in his 70s, identified as A, dead in a flowerbed about 200 meters away.

Police believe that A killed his wife, B, also in his or her 70s, with whom he lived.

B had been bedridden and unable to move freely due to a stroke, and it was found that A had been nursing his wife for several years.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
