Gyeonggi Province announced on October 15 that it has launched a public suggestion board for the "Pyeonha G Bus."
The Pyeonha G Bus connects Gyeonggi Province and major hubs in Seoul during rush hours, operating on a seat-reservation system directly managed by the provincial government.
Through this board, provincial residents can directly propose new commuter bus routes.
The basic rule is one route per person.
The proposed routes will be forwarded to the originating cities and counties to be utilized for reviewing new routes.
The decision on whether to establish a new route will be made after undergoing feasibility reviews, business plan establishment, demand surveys, budget securing, and consultations with relevant organizations by the respective cities and counties.
Priority for review will be given to areas where commuting is inconvenient due to a shortage of buses and subways.
This also includes areas where users are concentrated during rush hours but where it is difficult to establish new wide-area bus routes.
Gyeonggi Province plans to determine priorities by reviewing regional urgency, estimated user demand, overlap with existing routes, and actual operational feasibility.
Previously, Gyeonggi Province reviewed routes suggested to the 9th-term gubernatorial transition committee and established five new Pyeonha G Bus routes across four cities, including Pyeongtaek, Yangju, Hwaseong, and 의왕 [Uiwang], on October 8.
