Unification Minister Chung Dong-young announced that he will take legal action against the spread of fake news claiming he has a "27-year-old daughter in North Korea."

On his Facebook account, Minister Chung wrote, "While I have usually envied friends who have daughters, this is somewhat baffling," attaching a screenshot of the related YouTube video.

He went on to say, "Amid ongoing red-baiting and ideological attacks against me, I realize once again the seriousness of fake news," adding, "We are inevitably launching an official response at the Ministry of Unification level, including legal action," and requested the deletion of the relevant posts and videos.
