Actors Koo Kyo-hwan and Han Ji-min have come together for the film "Typhoon" (working title).

"Typhoon" (working title) is an exasperating disaster escape comedy about Jin-mo (Koo Kyo-hwan) and Jae-yi (Han Ji-min), a couple who have decided to separate, as they encounter a massive typhoon at a relative's wedding in their hometown.

Jin-mo, played by Koo Kyo-hwan, is a self-made man from a small provincial town who graduated from prestigious "S University" and joined a major conglomerate, but is now an ordinary office worker stuck at the assistant manager level. In "Typhoon" (working title), Koo Kyo-hwan is set to showcase his signature humane charm through his transformation into a realistic husband and father.

Han Ji-min plays Jae-yi, the wife of her frustrating husband Jin-mo. Once a recognized talent at a publishing company, she is a sharp, confident character who made the bold decision to leave her job after realizing she could not balance career and parenting, and now dreams of transitioning into a YouTuber.

Following the couple played by Koo Kyo-hwan and Han Ji-min, Oh Jung-se takes on the role of their friend Sang-hyuk. As Jin-mo's hometown friend and a 119 emergency rescue worker, he bravely jumps in to save the couple trapped in the disaster, only to end up stranded alongside them. Oh Jung-se's portrayal of a lovable, free-spirited soul is expected to be a major highlight of the film.

In addition, the role of Rose, the pension owner, is played by Han Sun Hwa, who has been loved for her unique comedic performances across the film "Pilot" and the dramas "The Scandal" and "Work Later, Drink Now." While she is a stingy penny-pincher who never offers lodging discounts even when a typhoon hits, she is also a romantic who dreams of a love like "Titanic."

Kim Eung-soo, who remains widely talked about for his role as Kwak Chul-yong in the film "Tazza: The High Rollers," and Oh Min-ae, who left a strong impression in the drama "When Life Gives You Tangerines" and the film "Pilot," join the cast as Hyun-deok and Pil-ja, partners in their 48th year together traveling across the country in a camper van. The two, bickering yet looking out for each other, add warmth to the story.

Director Lee Jung-ho of the films "The Beast" and "Broken" took charge of the screenplay and directing, and at the script reading held in late September, the eight actors raised expectations for the feature with their prepared performances and delightful energy.

Having finalized its casting and kicked off filming in October, "Typhoon" (working title) is scheduled to be released next year.
