This is the first time an attempt to cheat using smart glasses has been uncovered in a college entrance exam. According to reports, the student initially wore regular glasses and then swapped them for smart glasses during the test.

[Kim Yewon / Yonsei University student: Others actually spend months trying to solve just a single essay question, and I feel like this deprives other people of their efforts and opportunities.]
[Kim Jeong-hu / Yonsei University student: Only one person was caught, but there could be many more who weren't caught, so I think it would be right to conduct inspections more thoroughly.]
The Yonsei University science and engineering essay admissions held that day recorded a competition rate of over 50 to 1, with more than 14,000 applicants for 288 openings.
A Yonsei University official explained, "The proctors collected the AI glasses on the spot at the time, and the student in question admitted to wearing them," adding, "We are discussing post-exam measures such as processing the test results."
Previously, a test-taker wearing AI glasses was also caught during the natural sciences essay exam held at the University of Seoul on October 3, and it was found that they likewise wore regular glasses during the pre-exam inspection.
The University of Seoul immediately expelled the student from the examination room and took measures to ban them from taking tests for the next three years.
