U.S. President Donald Trump dismissed rumors of support for Iran on the 12th (local time), stating that China and Russia are not helping Iran at all.

Writing on his social media platform Truth Social that day, President Trump noted that progressive circles have frequently pointed out that China and Russia are helping Iran, but stated, "Even if there were support, it would be at a very low level, but I think there is no support at all."

He added, "They have too much to lose, and we would find out about it, and we would find out very quickly."

Since the outbreak of the war, suspicions have consistently been raised within the U.S. that China and Russia, which share strategic partnerships with Iran, backed Iran's attacks on U.S. military facilities in the Middle East.

In particular, regarding the July 17 attack on Jordan's Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, the U.S. Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported last month that Iran had secured high-resolution satellite imagery of the base from China before the attack.

The Iranian missile attack at the time resulted in the deaths of three U.S. service members and injuries to four others.

The WSJ also reported, citing Western intelligence officials and Middle East diplomats, that Russia has provided Iran with satellite imagery and upgraded drone technology.

However, China and Russia have maintained the position that their cooperation with Iran takes place within the framework of international law, without acknowledging any military support for Iran.

Previously, in a post on Truth Social last July, President Trump stated his belief that China and Russia would not fail to help Iran, warning that if they were to support Iran in the war, "it would be a very bad thing for them."

U.S. Ambassador to China David Perdue also stated in a media interview that President Trump clearly conveyed his stance during a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping last month that China's support for Iran would not be tolerated.
