Actor Han Ye-ri has been cast as the lead in the film "Room 1301 Knows."
"Room 1301 Knows" is a black comedy that kicks off with a mysterious incident inside a hotel suite in Seoul, depicting people trying to conceal their respective secrets and desires as they fall into irrevocable situations. Filming is currently underway after cranking in last September.
Han plays Bang Mi-jin, a secretary to a ruling party lawmaker. After encountering an unexpected incident in a hotel room where a secretive meeting took place, she finds herself in an uncontrollable situation as unforeseen individuals appear. As a character who sharply observes her surroundings and searches for a breakthrough even in hair-trigger moments, her constantly shifting emotions and unreadable inner thoughts are expected to heighten the suspense of the film.
Han has showcased a broad acting spectrum through various works, including the films "As One," "Haemoo," "Worst Woman," "A Quiet Dream," "The Table," "Minari," and the television series "One Spring Night." Having completed characters with her own interpretations regardless of genre or character, she garnered global attention for her role as the resilient yet delicate Monica in the film "Minari."
