Today (Oct. 13) brings rain that will finally push away the lingering late-summer heat.

Rain clouds are currently moving from the West Sea toward the east, and the rain has mostly stopped in many western areas, including Seoul.

Rain is currently concentrated mainly in the eastern regions.

The rain in the Gyeongsang region will continue until late afternoon, while most other areas will see it stop by the afternoon.

Rainfall is expected to range from a minimum of 5 mm to a maximum of 60 mm.

Yesterday, the daytime high in Seoul exceeded 30 degrees Celsius (86°F), breaking record highs for mid-October once again.

As cold air moves in behind the rain clouds, the weather will turn sharply chilly.

Tomorrow morning, temperatures in Seoul are forecast to plunge to the single digits.

You will need to take good care of your health amid these drastic temperature changes.

Toward the latter half of the week, temperatures will rise above seasonal averages again.
