Singer Jang Han-byul is releasing a new song after five months.
Jang Han-byul will release his digital single "Miya" at noon on October 12 across various online music streaming platforms. This marks his first new release in about five months since "You Are My Star," which he performed during the hit song mission on MBN's "Unknown Legend" in May.
"Miya" is a ballad. The title is derived from an affectionate way of calling the ending syllable "Mi" found in common Korean names around us, such as Eun-mi or Young-mi.
Lyricist Lee Geon-woo and composers Kim Sun-min and Choi Jae-eun participated together as the project team "The Magic Flute" for this song. Lee Geon-woo wrote the lyrics for tracks including "Amor Fati," while Kim Sun-min composed "Cocktail Love."
Jang Han-byul recently wrote on his social media, "Because this song is so precious and dear to me, I am already excited and looking forward to letting all of you hear it." He added, "I hope 'Miya' becomes a song that stays in your hearts for a long time. Eunhasu (fandom name), please look forward to it and listen to it together on the day it is released."
The performance of "Miya" will be unveiled for the first time at Jang Han-byul's first solo concert since debut, "THE STAR IS BORN," which will be held on October 31 and November 1 at Daeyang Hall at Sejong University in Seoul.
