The dream of Suwon Samsung, a professional football club that dropped to the second tier three years ago, returning to the first division is ripening.
Propelled by a hat trick from Luis, the team extended its winning streak to five matches and remained undefeated in 10 games, solidifying its solo lead at the top of the standings.
Forward Luis, who transferred from Gimpo to Suwon last August, put on a stellar performance.
He scored the opening goal just two minutes into the match, and although his first penalty kick as the kicker was blocked in the 27th minute of the first half, he slotted in the loose ball to ripple the net. He then completed his hat trick in the 12th minute of the second half by heading in a corner kick.
Securing a 4-1 victory, Suwon Samsung extended its winning streak to five matches and widened the gap with second-place Suwon FC to 5 points, firmly maintaining its lead.
