Kim Min-jong opened up about the allegations surrounding illegal gambling.
On the October 11 broadcast of SBS's "My Little Old Boy," Yoon Min-soo and Lee Jong-hyuk were shown visiting Kim Min-jong's house in Yangpyeong.
On this day, Kim Min-jong revealed his remodeled Yangpyeong house and honestly shared his feelings regarding the recent allegations surrounding him.
Recently, singer MC Mong sparked controversy by claiming that an illegal gambling gathering involving celebrities existed and that Kim Min-jong was included in that group.
In response, Kim Min-jong dismissed all claims as groundless and filed a complaint against MC Mong, stating that the honor and trust he had built over 38 years since his debut had been damaged, resulting in the halt of discussions for commercial ads and an upcoming Hollywood project that were being negotiated in detail.
However, Kim Min-jong eventually dropped the complaint. Regarding this, Kim Min-jong calmly said, "I did it for myself. Even if I kept going, nothing was going to get better."
Watching this, Lee Jong-hyuk asked, "Did you accept his apology and end it?" Kim Min-jong explained, "He also apologized very sincerely. And wondering what further meaning there would be in dragging it out any longer, I decided to drop the complaint for my own sake."
However, Kim Min-jong ended up having to step down from the project he was scheduled to film. Kim Min-jong conveyed his feelings, stating, "I guess that also just wasn't meant to be," adding, "My mental state was shaken and it was difficult, but now that it has all passed, I have sorted through it," drawing sympathy.
