It has been confirmed that yesterday (October 10) in the collapse of the ceiling finishing materials at a commercial building in Gwaneum-dong, Buk-gu, Daegu, a portion of the ceiling began to fall first, causing the remaining sections to collapse sequentially.

Following the acquisition of a home security camera footage containing these scenes, the Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency conducted a joint inspection today on the second floor of the four-story building where the accident occurred.

Police plan to analyze the debris collected from the scene to determine the cause of the accident and then review whether to file charges against those involved.

Yesterday, 66 people evacuated the scene of the accident. As of this morning, 18 people received hospital treatment, and 5 were hospitalized.
