On October 10, marking the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea, North Korea commemorated its party foundation day in a subdued atmosphere with commemorative performances, without a military parade unlike last year.

Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, watched the commemorative performance alongside his wife Ri Sol-ju and daughter Ju-ae, and did not issue any separate stance such as a speech or statement.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that the commemorative performance for the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea was held yesterday at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium.

KCNA reported that General Secretary Kim watched the performance and sent congratulatory greetings to the participants.

Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee, other senior party and government officials, as well as diplomatic representatives and members of missions stationed in North Korea, watched the performance.

Photos published by North Korean state media showed General Secretary Kim's wife Ri Sol-ju and daughter Ju-ae watching the performance together with him.

The performance featured diverse stages that blended hymns dedicated to the Workers' Party with vocal music, dance, acrobatics, gymnastics, and military band ceremonies, and concluded with the North Korean national anthem.

KCNA reported that General Secretary Kim expressed satisfaction with the success of the performance and sent warm regards to the performers and the audience.

On this day, no speech, statement, or separate remarks by General Secretary Kim were reported by North Korean state media.

North Korean state media outlets continue to maintain a celebratory atmosphere by carrying articles related to the party foundation day day after day.
