Shin Yu-bin and Lim Jong-hoon, who teamed up to win a mixed doubles bronze medal at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, have won the championship at the World Table Tennis (WTT) China Smash.
The Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin duo defeated Taiwan's Lin Yun-ju and Cheng I-ching 3-2 in the mixed doubles final held in Beijing, China.
Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin fell behind 2-1 after losing the third game in a deuce, but staged a dramatic comeback from a 10-3 deficit in the fourth game to push the match to a deciding final game.
They also overcame a 5-1 deficit in the fifth game to secure a thrilling victory.
Having had to settle for a bronze medal after losing to China's Lin Shidong and Kuai Man in the semifinals at the Asian Games, the Lim-Shin pair washed away that disappointment by claiming the top spot on the international stage just half a month later.
This marks their third WTT series title of the season, following victories at the Star Contender Ljubljana in June and the US Smash in July.
