President Lee Jae-myung received a briefing on the mart ceiling collapse that occurred in Buk-gu, Daegu, today (the 10th) and instructed authorities to make every effort to rescue victims.

Kang Yu-jung, senior presidential spokesperson, stated that President Lee received a report on the accident from Acting National Police Agency Commissioner General Kim Jong-chul and urged relevant agencies to take thorough measures to handle the situation.

This morning, part of the ceiling collapsed at a grocery mart in Buk-gu, Daegu, injuring 36 visitors, 9 of whom were transported to hospitals.

All of the injured are reportedly not in life-threatening conditions.
