Temperatures Plunge After Sunset; Rain Expected in Parts of Country Tomorrow Except Capital Area

Under clear autumn skies on this second day of the Hangeul Day holiday, it is a great day to enjoy some outdoor activities.

Temperatures will rise comfortably during the day.

However, as temperatures will drop rapidly by more than 10 degrees Celsius after sunset, it is advisable to bring an outer layer when going out.

Showers are expected to pass mainly through the Yeongnam region this afternoon.

The rainfall amount will not be large, ranging from 5 to 10 millimeters.

Rain is set to begin in Jeju starting today, and tomorrow, rain is forecast for various parts of the country excluding the greater Seoul metropolitan area.

Rainfall from today through the day after tomorrow is expected to be 5 to up to 50 mm in Jeju, 5 to 20 mm in Yeongnam, and 5 to 10 mm in other regions.

Skies will remain mostly clear in the central regions today, while dry atmospheric conditions will persist.

Looking at daytime highs in detail, late-summer heat will continue with Daegu at 28°C (82°F) and Busan at 29°C (84°F).

Rain is forecast nationwide from Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning next week.
