A fire broke out in an Avante passenger car driven by a person in their 70s on a road in Nam-myeon, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, at around 11:05 a.m. today.
It is reported that the flames began after the driver pulled over to the shoulder of the road upon sensing something was wrong with the vehicle while driving.
No casualties occurred as the driver evacuated, but most of the vehicle was burned.
An official from the Chungcheongnam-do Fire Headquarters explained that a driver in their 30s passing by saw the fire and attempted to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher, but after failing to do so, called 119.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene put out the fire in 20 minutes.
