Large Temperature Swings on 'Hanno'; Hangul Day Holiday Highs Up to 26°C

Today (the 8th) is Hallor, one of the 24 solar terms, featuring clear skies and a wide temperature range between day and night.

As relatively mild westerly winds blow in, Seoul's daytime high is expected to reach 24°C (75°F), slightly above the seasonal average.

However, the temperature difference between morning and day will be significant at over 10°C.

You will need to make sure to bring an outer layer.

During the upcoming Hangul Day holiday, temperatures are expected to rise even further, making it feel somewhat warm when engaging in outdoor activities during the day.

The air remains very dry in inland areas and the Yeongdong region.

Careful attention must be paid to fire prevention.

Looking closely at daytime temperatures by region, Cheongju is forecast to reach a high of 25°C (77°F), while Changwon and Busan are expected to hit 26°C (79°F).

Rain is forecasted mainly in the southern regions and Jeju Island during the holiday period.
