The Los Angeles Dodgers, attempting a third consecutive World Series title in Major League Baseball (MLB), have advanced to the National League Championship Series.

The Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 4-1 in Game 4 of the National League Division Series held at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

Passing the NLDS with 3 wins and 1 loss, the Dodgers have reached the NLCS for the third consecutive year and will compete for a World Series berth against the winner of the series between the Milwaukee Brewers and the San Diego Padres.

With Atlanta's elimination, Kim Ha-seong's turbulent 2026 season has also come to an end.

Kim failed to produce notable results after undergoing surgery on his right middle finger due to a fall on an ice patch while staying in South Korea early this year.

Although he dramatically made the postseason roster, he remained on the bench on this day and finished this fall baseball campaign with 5 at-bats, no hits, and 1 run.

The Dodgers seized the momentum in the top of the seventh inning with the score tied 1-1, thanks to Andy Pages' two-RBI single to center field with two outs and the bases loaded, which was set up by a single and two walks.

In the ninth inning, Max Muncy sealed the victory with a solo home run over the right-field wall.

Kim Hye-seong of the Dodgers made his first appearance of this year's postseason as a defensive substitute at second baseman in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The Cleveland Guardians, who had been driven to the brink of elimination, overwhelmingly defeated the Chicago White Sox 9-3 in Game 3 of the American League Division Series (ALDS) held at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, Illinois, securing their first win after two losses.

In the third inning with the score tied 1-1 and two outs and the bases loaded, Cleveland's cleanup hitter and designated hitter Jo Adell hit a bases-clearing triple down the right-field line.

In the eighth inning, with the lead narrowed to 5-3, Jose Ramirez hit a two-RBI triple to left field, virtually deciding the outcome of the game.
