Manager Mikel Arteta (44, Spain), who led English professional football club Arsenal to the top of the Premier League (EPL) last season for the first time in 22 years, has renewed his contract with the club.

Arsenal announced on the 7th (local time) that they have extended their contract with Manager Arteta until June 2030.

Having taken the helm in December 2019, Manager Arteta will have led the team at Arsenal for over 10 years if he fulfills this contract period.

According to the Associated Press, Manager Arteta is already the longest-serving current manager among active EPL bosses.

Manager Arteta continues to achieve success at Arsenal, his first permanent managerial post.

In his very first season in charge, he won the FA Cup and returned the team to the UEFA Champions League stage after a six-year absence.

Last season, he delivered Arsenal's first EPL title in 22 years since the 2003-2004 season.

Manager Arteta also spent the final five years of his playing career at Arsenal.

Manager Arteta stated, "It is a privilege to commit my future to this club and continue working with the special people who give their all for Arsenal," adding, "I am honored to continue this journey."
