A fire that broke out at a pension in Incheon spread to a nearby mountain before being put out.

At around 6:30 p.m. yesterday (October 7), a report was received that a fire had broken out at the waste disposal area of a pension located in Yeongheung-myeon, Ongjin-gun, Incheon.
The fire spread to the mountain behind the pension, and firefighters managed to extinguish it after about 2 hours and 10 minutes by mobilizing around 120 personnel and about 20 pieces of equipment.

No injuries were reported, but authorities estimate that 600 pyeong of forest land, including trees in the area, was burned.

Fire authorities believe the blaze started due to carelessness in the recycling area and are investigating the exact cause.
