A 9-year-old child made this phone call to a police station.
Jajangmyeon at a police station? Was it a prank call? No, it wasn't.
It turned out that the child wasn't trying to order jajangmyeon, but was actually witnessing domestic violence.
Let's take a look at the story together.
This happened in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, on the 4th.
A phone call came in to 112.
And the person who made that call was a 9-year-old elementary school student.
The child explained how many family members were at home and asked for one bowl of jajangmyeon to be delivered.
As the call continued and the child regained composure, the child soon informed the police that their father was trying to hit their mother.
Realizing the situation, the police arrived at the scene in about three minutes.
They accompanied the child's father, a man in his 40s, to the station voluntarily and booked him on charges of special assault and violations of the Child Welfare Act.
Police stated that the child appeared to have used quick wits to pretend to order jajangmyeon in order to avoid being caught making the report.
