Brazilian forward Bassani, a key figure in Bucheon FC's historic first-ever promotion to K League 1, will continue his journey with the club through 2028.

Bucheon announced on October 7 that it has extended its contract with Bassani through the 2028 season.

Born in 1997, Bassani first stepped into South Korean professional football in 2023 when he joined Suwon Samsung—then in K League 1—on loan from Brazil's Figueirense FC.

After recording 3 goals and 1 assist in 22 matches that year and witnessing Suwon's relegation to K League 2, Bassani transferred to Bucheon in K League 2 for the 2024 season, where he began to fully showcase his capabilities.

In his debut year with Bucheon, Bassani made 35 appearances in K League 2 with 11 goals and 7 assists. In the 2025 season, he recorded 14 goals and 6 assists in 35 regular league matches, followed by 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 promotion-relegation playoffs, leading the club to its first-ever promotion to K League 1.

Bassani, who also serves as Bucheon's vice-captain, has recorded 30 goals and 20 assists in 116 total K League appearances, including the playoffs.

Notably, in a match against Gimcheon Sangmu on September 19, he reached a milestone of 100 official appearances for Bucheon and set a club record for the most offensive points (48) with 28 goals and 20 assists.

Bucheon Manager Lee Young-min expressed his trust, saying, "Bassani is an irreplaceable core player who brings tremendous synergy to the team both on and off the pitch. He will be a great help as Bucheon settles into the first division and moves toward higher goals."

Following the contract renewal, Bassani pledged, "The history we are writing together is not over yet, and I will continue to bring even greater joy to our fans."
