The movie 'Avengers: Endgame' has reclaimed the all-time number-one spot at the global box office, surpassing 'Avatar' thanks to the recently released 'Avengers: Endgame Encore'.
'Avengers: Endgame' has recaptured the global box office throne. This result was driven by the box office success of the recently re-released 'Avengers: Endgame Encore'.
According to Box Office Mojo, the cumulative worldwide box office gross of 'Avengers: Endgame' has surpassed $2.925 billion (approximately 3.9298 trillion won). This surpasses the record of 'Avatar', which held the global box office number-one spot for the past five years. It marks a more meaningful milestone as 'Avengers: Endgame' returns to the top for the first time in five years since losing the top spot to 'Avatar' in 2021.

In particular, this achievement was accomplished as a film released seven years ago added more than $126 million (approximately 169.2 billion won) in box office revenue solely through its re-release.
'Avengers: Endgame Encore' climbed to the top of the global box office starting from its opening weekend and ranked second in global opening weekend revenue for all-time re-released films, demonstrating the enduring power of 'Avengers'. This is a result reflecting anticipation for 'Avengers: Doomsday', which is scheduled for release in December. 'Avengers: Endgame Encore' includes a post-credits scene leading into 'Avengers: Doomsday', drawing enthusiastic responses from fans worldwide.
'Avengers: Endgame Encore' is currently playing in theaters in South Korea.
