Following the government's tax reform proposal announcement in August, 8 out of 10 apartment transactions in Seoul were priced at 1.5 billion won or less, data showed.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's actual transaction price data, the proportion of transactions priced at 1.5 billion won or less since August was tallied at 79%.
In particular, transactions priced at 600 million won or less—eligible for policy loans such as first-time homebuyer support funds—increased to 25%, while high-end apartments priced above 2.5 billion won decreased to 5.8%.
