As cold air flows down from the north today (October 5), the final day of the long weekend, the weather is turning chilly.

Today's daytime high in Seoul is expected to reach 20°C (68°F), dropping sharply by about 6°C compared to yesterday afternoon.

Other regions will experience typical autumn weather for this time of year.

Nationwide skies will remain cloudy today with occasional raindrops falling in various places.

Raindrops may fall in the central regions, the west coast of Jeollabuk-do, and the northern parts of Gyeongsangbuk-do, while less than 5mm of rain is expected in other parts of Jeolla-do, western Gyeongsangnam-do, and Jeju.

Strong winds with sudden gusts of around 15 meters per second are expected across the country, so caution against safety accidents is required.

Skies will clear up again starting Tuesday.

Late-season summer heat is expected to return toward the latter half of the week.
