As the controversy surrounding the film "Assassins" spread to protests in front of the cast's homes, actor Yoo Hae-jin's agency has announced a strong legal response.

VAST Entertainment, Yoo's agency, stated, "We have confirmed that indiscriminate slander and false information regarding actor Yoo Hae-jin are being circulated and spread through online communities and other channels." They added, "We view any actions that infringe upon our artist's privacy, threaten his personal safety, or defame his character with the utmost seriousness."

The agency emphasized, "We are continuously collecting related posts and materials, and we plan to take all possible measures to protect the rights, interests, and safety of our artist from these illegal acts."

As the historical distortion controversy surrounding the movie "Assassins" escalated into criticism directed at the cast, movements have emerged demanding the replacement of lead actor Yoo Hae-jin as an advertising model, alongside boycotts of products from companies he represents.

Online, posts certifying boycotts of fast-food products featuring Yoo as a model were uploaded, and protest comments were left on advertising videos.

The controversy moved beyond online spaces to protests in front of Yoo's private residence.

Yesterday, around 50 members of the conservative civic group New Freedom Solidarity held a rally in front of Yoo's home in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, demanding the suspension of the film's screening and apologies from the production crew and actors.

VAST Entertainment stated, "We will continue to monitor actions that infringe upon the rights, interests, and safety of our artist, and we will pursue necessary responses for any confirmed issues."
