Wang Jeung-hun, who has secured three career wins on the European Tour, experienced the joy of his first KPGA victory at the Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyoung-ju Invitational.

Playing in the final round at the Ferrum Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, Wang recorded four birdies and no bogeys, finishing with a final score of 10-under par. He claimed the championship trophy by defeating Kim Hong-taek by a three-stroke margin and earned 250 million won in prize money.

Starting the fourth round two strokes behind the leader Kim Yeon-seop, Wang gained momentum with consecutive birdies on the 2nd and 3rd holes. He then added another birdie on the 12th hole to surpass Kim Yeon-seop, taking the lead and concluding the tournament with a victory.

Wang, who debuted on the European Tour in 2016 and won the Rookie of the Year award that same year to achieve three total wins through 2017, had not claimed a title since. However, after joining the tour this season with KPGA rookie status, he achieved his first victory in his 10th tournament.
