▲ A passenger car overturned after crashing into a railway crossing barrier.
At around 1:15 p.m. today (October 4), a Santa Fe passenger car crashed into a protective barrier and overturned at a railway crossing in Bukpyeong-ri, Bukpyeong-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon Province.
A total of five people were aboard the vehicle, including the driver, a woman in her 70s identified by the surname A (78), and four passengers, including a person identified by the surname B (79).
The accident left three people, including driver A, passenger B, and a female passenger in her 60s, severely injured, while two other passengers in their 30s and 50s sustained minor injuries.
Police are currently investigating the exact cause and circumstances of the accident by questioning witnesses and others.
