Amid a series of confirmed financial sector data breaches caused by hacking attacks, it was found today (October 4) that Welcome Savings Bank has also experienced a leak of corporate customer information.

According to the financial sector, Welcome Savings Bank identified during an internal review the previous day that it had been targeted by a hacking attack involving corporate customer data and reported the incident to authorities.

It is estimated that a maximum of 2,200 pieces of corporate customer information were leaked, including company names, corporate contact names, email addresses, and phone numbers.

Welcome Savings Bank is currently investigating the exact circumstances of the leak and the scale of the damage.
