President Lee said, "While requirements such as having a household income at or below 200% of the median income apply through this second round of enrollment, eligibility is scheduled to be expanded to all young people starting next year."

The Youth Future Savings Account is a three-year flexible installment savings product allowing participants to deposit freely up to a monthly maximum of 500,000 won.

The government provides matching contributions of either 6% or 12%, and interest income tax is exempt.

Eligible participants are young adults aged 19 to 34, and for those who have completed mandatory military service, the period of service (up to six years) is not counted when calculating age.

Regarding income requirements, applicants must have a total gross salary of 75 million won or less, or be a small business owner with annual sales of 300 million won or less, and their household income must be at or below 200% of the median income.

On October 7, applications will be accepted from those whose birth year ends in an odd number, and on October 8, from those ending in an even number. From October 12 to 16, anyone can apply regardless of birth year.

After going through an eligibility review, applicants will be notified of their results.
