England routed Croatia 7-0, propelled by multiple goals from Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka.
Led by manager Thomas Tuchel, England defeated Croatia 7-0 in the third match of Group A3 in the 2026–2027 UEFA Nations League, held at the Rujevica Stadium in Rijeka, Croatia, on October 3 (local time).
Group 2 side England improved to two wins and one loss (6 points), maintaining a three-point gap behind group leaders Spain (9 points).
Croatia, having secured only 3 points so far, sit in third place.
Kane fulfilled his duties as the team's main striker by scoring two goals, including the opening and winning goal just eight minutes into the kickoff, while Bukayo Saka also delivered a stellar performance by netting the team's fourth and sixth goals.
Jude Bellingham also shone brightly, recording one goal and three assists, including setting up Kane's opening winner.
With 89 goals in 124 international appearances, Kane moved within one game of Peter Shilton's record for the most appearances for the England national team (125 games).
In an interview with the broadcasting network, Kane said, "It was an unbelievable game from start to finish," adding, "We talked a lot about completely dominating the game for the full 90 minutes, both with and without the ball, and today was just that."
Asked if he could tie Shilton's record in the upcoming match against the Czech Republic on October 7, he joked, "I hope so. That's why the manager substituted me to save me for the next game."
Kane was substituted off for Morgan Rogers in the 25th minute of the second half.
Meanwhile, World Cup champions Spain defeated the Czech Republic 3-1 in Oviedo, Spain, securing their third straight win and extending their unbeaten run to 41 consecutive matches.
Rising star Lamine Yamal opened the scoring with a fantastic curling shot in the sixth minute of the first half, and in the 35th minute of the first half, captain Rodri turned Pedri's cutback into an additional goal.
After conceding a goal to Jiri Slama in the 24th minute of the second half, Spain put the finishing touch on their two-goal victory with a strike by Mikel Merino in the 44th minute of the second half.
